Canadian Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning’s history begins in 1989, with Kevin Martens training as a carpet and upholstery cleaner and trouble-shooter for some of the country’s leading carpet and stain-resistant carpet manufacturers. This position was crucial to Kevin’s success, as it showed him many inside secrets used in the carpet industry to achieve an out-of-the-ordinary success with carpet stains and all types of carpet issues.

 

We Saw a Need

When Kevin and his family relocated to Thunder Bay in 1995, he first worked for a company that is now our competition. Kevin soon noticed there was a lack of quality upholstery and carpet cleaning businesses in the area. He was shocked at how often customers were told that their wool area rugs or different upholstered fabrics couldn’t be cleaned -- even some synthetics like a 100% polyester sofa!

 

Company Established in 1997

This obvious lack of service inspired Kevin to fill the void. He founded Canadian Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in 1997 to provide Thunder Bay and the surrounding areas with fresh, sanitary carpets and upholsteries. Kevin now does trouble-shooting for Canada’s largest stain-resistant carpet manufacturer and several warrantee companies.
